About Us
EDC's Health and Human Development Division in Asia established an office in Bangkok in 2003 dedicated to improving health and education, alleviating poverty, and building the capacity of civil society as a catalyst for development.
EDC HHD Asia staff work to forge collaborations among stakeholders and partners to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate projects that vary from capacity building and technical assistance to local organizations to developing social responsibility projects on behalf of corporate partners.
Key initiatives address HIV/AIDS (care, prevention and support), labor migration, and micro-entrepreneurship education. Our projects are implemented at the regional level, with partners in locations as diverse as India, Australia, and China.
Our regional staff is a diverse mix of multi-lingual, international staff with expertise in project design and management, needs assessment, technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation, and partnerships within both public and private sectors. EDC HHD Asia is committed to making a difference at the local, regional, and global levels.
